Some models may contain notes borrowed from other tones but are mostly within a scale.

The Handpan is known for being an intuitive instrument, as the harmony is ready we can simply flow without necessarily rationalizing what is being played, and that's why it's a versatile and democratic instrument for everyone, beginners and advanced players.

The scales or modes contain an emotion, a color to be felt. 
The list of sensations is big, but to facilitate the categories we have divided it into 3 modes: Exotic, Introspective, and Joyful.
